On 24-26 June the Centre held its 3rd interregional workshop in the framework of the project on ”Sharing the Visegrad Experience in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partership Countries”. ICDT aimed to present well-defined achievements and lessons learned of cross-border cooperation (CBC) within the Visegrad countries and the role of CBC in strengthening regional cohesion, good neighborly relations and EU integration. Second, participants analyzed the applicability of these experiences in light of current challenges and opportunities in the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership (in particular GUAM) countries. Finally, the discussion was focused on identifying common solutions, best practices and recommendations for further cooperation among these regions or within them. Participants represented governments and civil societies from the target countries, as well as practitioners of CBC and regional organizations and donors.
